Payment Policy
Effective date: October 13, 2026
A JennsThreads order is passed to the packing partner in China only after it has been paid, so the payment step is the point where the waiting time for a top really begins.
Paid by card through Stripe or by PayPal
Checkout offers two ways to pay, and both cost the same for the same order. Cards travel through Stripe, and the four networks it accepts here are Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover, on credit and debit cards alike. Choosing PayPal moves the customer into PayPal’s own window, where the payment is funded from whatever that PayPal account allows, such as its balance, a bank or a saved card.
Charged once for the whole order
The full amount is charged when the order is placed. Dispatch and delivery bring no further charge, because the order is forwarded to the fulfillment partner only once the money has been received. Take the sample order, the Waffle Knit Henley Tunic Top ($35.99) and the Oversized Plaid Button Down Shirt ($28.99), paid for at 3:15 PM Eastern Time on Wednesday, November 18, 2026: the whole $70.88, plus any sales tax, is taken at 3:15 PM that afternoon, although the tops do not leave the warehouse until November 19 or 20.
Confirmed by email within a few minutes
An order confirmation carrying the order ID usually lands within a few minutes of payment, listing each top, the shipping charge, the tax and the total. A confirmation that seems to be missing is most often sitting in a spam or promotions folder, since automated store mail is sometimes sorted there, and the customer care team can resend it on request.
Shown at checkout as four card logos and a PayPal button
Only five payment marks are used anywhere on jennsthreads.com, namely Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and PayPal, because a logo tells the customer that the method can be used. Any other payment logo found on the site is a mistake, and the customer care team takes it down as soon as someone reports it.
Excluded from the payment options
Apple Pay and Google Pay buttons do not appear at checkout, and the store also turns down checks, gift cards, wire transfers, store credit lines, cryptocurrency and cash on delivery. PayPal sometimes offers a pay-later plan inside its own window; such a plan is an agreement between the customer and PayPal, and JennsThreads receives the full price at checkout in either case.
Added up from tops, shipping and tax
The checkout total has three parts: the tops after any discount code, the shipping charge and the sales tax. One Waffle Knit Henley Tunic Top comes to $35.99 plus $5.90, or $41.89 before tax, and adding the plaid shirt and the Striped Off the Shoulder Long Sleeve Top ($28.99) lifts the tops to $93.97, which passes the $89.00 mark and drops the shipping charge to nothing.
Kept free of card and processing fees
JennsThreads adds no card fee, processing fee or service charge, and no insurance or express option is ticked in advance, so the amount on the last checkout screen is the amount taken. Cards from banks outside the United States are welcome, though their issuers may add a foreign transaction fee that JennsThreads never sees.
Calculated for sales tax at checkout
No sales tax is built into the price on a listing. The amount is worked out at checkout from the delivery address and shown on its own line before the payment button, while import duties, prepaid by the sender before the package lands in the United States, appear neither in the total nor at the door.
Priced in US dollars
Every price on jennsthreads.com is in US dollars (USD), and checkout performs no currency conversion. A shopper browsing from another country still pays in dollars, although delivery only reaches the 48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia.
Limited to one discount code per order
When a discount code is running, each order accepts one code, typed in before payment. A code cannot be applied to an order that has already been paid, because that charge is final, and any end date or minimum attached to a code is printed wherever the code is announced.
Matched to the card’s billing address
Card issuers and PayPal compare the billing address typed at checkout with the one they keep on file before approving a payment, so it should be entered exactly as they hold it. It may be outside the United States, since the delivery rules apply to the shipping address and not to the billing address.
Checked for fraud before the partner packs it
A small share of orders is screened before being forwarded, and the customer care team then writes within 1 business day, usually to confirm the billing address. If 2 business days pass without that confirmation, the order is canceled and every cent goes back to the original payment method, so a screened order never waits with no end date.
Entered into Stripe’s or PayPal’s own fields
Card numbers are typed into a payment field hosted by Stripe, and PayPal sign-ins take place on PayPal’s own pages, which keeps the full card number away from JennsThreads. The store receives the payment result and the card’s last four digits, and every page of jennsthreads.com loads over HTTPS; no online system is free of risk, which is exactly why full card numbers stay with the processors.
Held briefly after a declined attempt
After a declined attempt, the bank may still display a pending amount, which is a temporary hold and not money collected by JennsThreads. Banks usually lift such holds within 3-5 business days, and the bank behind the card can give the exact date.
Declined, failed or canceled
A payment that does not go through creates no order, no charge and no package. The customer can try the card once more, switch to PayPal or call the bank, while an order canceled within 12 hours of checkout is refunded in full within 3 business days, as the Refund and Returns Policy explains.
Mispriced by mistake
A listing can occasionally show a price that is plainly wrong, such as a dropped digit. When a top is bought at an obviously mistaken price, the customer care team emails before the order goes to the partner for packing, and the customer decides between paying the correct price and receiving a full refund.
Disputed with the bank
Before a chargeback is filed, the customer is asked to write to customer care, because most billing questions, such as a duplicate hold or a refund still on its way, are settled with a single reply within 1 business day. Writing first leaves every right the customer holds with the card issuer or PayPal untouched.
Printed on the card statement
The merchant name printed on a card statement is set by the payment processor, and some banks shorten it, so the line may not read JennsThreads in full. The amount and the date in the confirmation email identify the charge, and the customer care team can confirm it on request.
Covered by the Privacy Policy
The Privacy Policy names each payment company that receives billing details and gives the number of years that payment records are kept.
