Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Effective date: October 13, 2026
Customer details leave JennsThreads only so that a partner in China, the carriers and the payment companies can pack, ship and charge an order, and this page explains how a customer can put on record that those details must never go anywhere else.
Granted by California law to every resident
California residents hold a legal right to forbid any business from selling or sharing what it knows about them, a right created by the California Consumer Privacy Act and later widened by the California Privacy Rights Act. JennsThreads gives customers in every other state the same right, because one procedure for everybody is simpler and safer than sorting requests by home address.
Recorded even when nothing is sold
An opt-out is a standing instruction that covers the customer’s information now and later, and it would bind JennsThreads at once if any sale or sharing arrangement were ever proposed. It does not cancel an order, stop order or dispatch emails, or wipe records, since tax rules keep order records for 7 years; erasing data is a separate request described in the Privacy Policy.
Defined by law and absent at JennsThreads
California law counts as a sale any handover of personal information to another business that brings money or anything else of value in return, and it counts as sharing any disclosure made for cross-context behavioral advertising, meaning ads chosen from a person’s activity across other websites. JennsThreads does neither, since the site has no advertising pixel or analytics tag and no customer list is uploaded to an ad network.
Sent by email, by phone or by browser signal
The quickest route is an email to contact@jennsthreads.com titled Privacy opt-out, sent from the address used on the order, and a call to +1 (803) 806-0730 during customer care hours works just as well. Turning on Global Privacy Control in a browser or a privacy extension opts that browser out without any message at all.
Honored automatically through Global Privacy Control
jennsthreads.com treats a Global Privacy Control signal as a valid opt-out for the browser that sends it, which is what California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon and Texas require. The site carries no advertising or analytics tags, so the signal has nothing to switch off today, and this page will be revised on the same day any such tag is added.
Logged within 15 business days, without ID
The customer care team logs each opt-out within 15 business days and then sends a confirmation email. No ID document, account or form is required, because an opt-out cannot harm the customer even when someone else sends it.
Accepted from authorized agents as well
An authorized agent may send the opt-out on a customer’s behalf together with a permission note signed by that customer. JennsThreads sells adult clothing and does not aim the store at anyone under 16, and information about a person under 16 would never be sold or shared under any circumstances.
Treated the same after an opt-out
A customer who opts out pays the same prices, gets the same 13-16 business day delivery estimate and receives the same help from customer care as anyone else. The law forbids worse treatment for using a privacy right, and the store’s prices do not depend on customer data in the first place.
Addressed to customer care
Read next: the Privacy Policy, for every other privacy right and its deadline.
Customer care answers at contact@jennsthreads.com and +1 (803) 806-0730 from 7:30 AM-4:30 PM Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, and no message waits longer than 1 business day for a reply.
