Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 13, 2026

Before a JennsThreads top reaches the door, the order passes through a packing partner in China, at least one carrier and a payment company, so this page lists exactly which personal details travel with it and why each one is needed.

Written for shoppers and visitors of jennsthreads.com

This policy explains what SHANA LEIGH GOODELL FUNY LLC, trading as JennsThreads, collects through jennsthreads.com, its contact form, email and the phone line, and what happens to that information afterward. In this policy, personal information is anything that could identify a particular customer, whether a full name, a home address or the email address typed at checkout. When a new service starts receiving customer data, this page names it and carries a new effective date before the service goes live.

Excluded from AI model training

Personal information held by JennsThreads is not used to train artificial intelligence systems, large language models among them, and no such data is sold or licensed to a company that trains them. Customer data is kept for running orders and for nothing else.

Typed in at checkout or sent to customer care

To place an order, the customer fills in a full name, email, phone number (used by the carrier), billing address and delivery address, and the order then records the tops, sizes and colors chosen together with the amounts paid. Buying does not require an account. Messages and photos sent to the customer care team, such as a picture of a loose seam, are filed with the order they concern, and no field at checkout requests government ID numbers or birth dates, since a top can be delivered without either.

Recorded automatically with each visit

Every request to the web server leaves a log entry recording the visitor’s IP address, which browser and device made the request, the page requested, the page that sent the visitor there and a timestamp. Cloudflare screens traffic before it reaches the server and reads those same entries to stop attacks. The site runs no analytics script and no advertising pixel, so no visitor is followed from jennsthreads.com to any other website.

Received from Stripe, PayPal and the carriers

Stripe and PayPal report back whether a payment succeeded, the outcome of their fraud screening and the card’s last four digits, while the carriers send a scan every time the package moves. Those reports are stored with the order, because they are the evidence used to settle a missing package or a questioned charge.

Used to deliver and support each order

Every detail has a specific job. The carriers need the delivery address and phone number to find the right door; order confirmations, dispatch emails and customer care replies all go to the email address; and Stripe or PayPal rely on the billing details to collect a payment or to send a refund back. Order records also serve tax filing and bookkeeping, and JennsThreads sends order and customer care emails only, with no newsletter and no promotional mailing list.

Shared only with the companies that handle an order

The fulfillment partner in China receives what it needs to pack and label a package, and the international carrier and the US carrier on the last leg receive the recipient’s name, address and phone number. Stripe and PayPal, both built into checkout by a plugin, process the billing details and the order amount; the email delivery service sends order and customer care messages; and the web host and Cloudflare process the visit logs. Authorities receive customer information only when a court order, subpoena or warrant requires it.

Grouped into three categories for California law

California regulations ask for a list of the personal information categories passed to service providers and contractors, and JennsThreads passes three of them, each for the purpose shown.

Category under California law Examples at JennsThreads Received by Purpose
Identifiers full name, email, phone, billing and delivery addresses fulfillment partner, carriers, Stripe and PayPal, email delivery service packing, delivery, payment, order emails
Commercial information tops bought, prices paid, refunds issued Stripe and PayPal, fulfillment partner payment and packing
Internet activity IP address, browser and device, pages visited web host, Cloudflare running and protecting the site

Data brokers and advertising networks receive none of them.

Transferred to China for packing

The partner’s order system is located in China, so four details from each order are stored there: the recipient’s name, phone number and delivery address and the list of tops to pack. The partner may use them only to pack and label that package, and while they sit on its servers, Chinese law applies to them.

Sold to no one

JennsThreads has never sold, rented or traded personal information, contact details included, and there is therefore no buyer of customer data to name here. Should that ever change, this page would name every recipient before any data left the store, as Rhode Island law requires.

Withheld from advertising platforms

No email address, phone number or purchase history is uploaded to Google, Meta or any other advertising platform, hashed or in plain text, and the site runs no conversion tracking. Nothing is therefore shared with anyone for ad measurement.

Stored in cookies only for the cart and checkout

WooCommerce places cookies that remember the cart and carry checkout from one page to the next, Stripe and PayPal place fraud-prevention cookies inside their payment fields, and Cloudflare may add a short-lived cookie while it checks for bots. The site sets no analytics or advertising cookie, which is why no cookie banner appears, and a browser that sends a Global Privacy Control signal has that signal honored as a request to opt out of sale and sharing.

Deleted after 7 years, 2 years or 90 days

Each kind of record has its own retention period, and the data is deleted when that period ends.

Record Retention period Reason
Orders and payments 7 years tax and accounting rules
Customer care emails and photos 2 years later claims about the same order
Server logs 90 days investigating attacks

Protected by HTTPS and the payment processors

Every page of jennsthreads.com loads over HTTPS. Card details go straight into the Stripe payment field and PayPal sign-ins happen on PayPal’s pages, so the store’s own systems never hold a full card number, and only the people who run JennsThreads can open order records, while the partner sees the shipping fields and nothing more. South Carolina Code § 39-1-90 sets the rules for notice after a security breach, and JennsThreads would email every affected customer under that law.

Handed over, corrected or erased on request

Customers in every state may ask for a copy of the personal information JennsThreads holds about them, for a correction or for deletion, by writing to contact@jennsthreads.com or calling +1 (803) 806-0730. The customer care team acknowledges a request within 5 business days and sends the full answer within 45 days; a complex case may take one 45-day extension, and the customer is told about it before the first 45 days run out. A request coming from the email address or phone number used on the order needs no ID document, although order and payment records stay until their 7-year period ends, because tax rules require them.

Reviewed again on appeal

When a request is refused, the email that explains why also says how to appeal, and a reply to that same email is enough. JennsThreads decides each appeal within 45 days, with the outcome in writing.

Extended for California residents

California residents may also find out what is collected and why, tell a store not to sell or share their personal information and limit how sensitive information is used, without being treated differently for using any of these rights. Because JennsThreads neither sells personal information nor shares it for cross-context advertising, and holds no sensitive information, an opt-out changes nothing about how an order is handled, though it is still logged within 15 business days. How to send one is explained on the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.

Applied the same way in every state

Comprehensive privacy laws are in force in 2026 in Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Iowa, Delaware, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland, Indiana, Kentucky and Rhode Island, as well as California. JennsThreads applies the same steps and deadlines to a request from any state, including states without such a law.

Not collected from children under 13

JennsThreads sells adult clothing and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent who finds that a child’s details reached the store can write to customer care, and those details are deleted.

Once a link takes a visitor to a carrier’s tracking page, to PayPal or to Stripe, the privacy notice of that company governs what happens there.

Directed to customer care or to the business address
