Size Guide
Effective date: October 13, 2026
A JennsThreads top cannot be tried on before it makes the 13-16 business day trip from China, and a wrong size goes back at the customer’s cost, so a few minutes with a tape measure before ordering save the most time of anything on this site.
Taken from the maker’s chart on 44 listings
Forty-four of the 45 listings carry the maker’s own size chart, and the remaining one, JNT-PL-014, has none because the maker never published it. The numbers on a chart belong to the garment: the maker measured each size of the top flat on a table and printed the results in inches and centimeters, with a usual tolerance of 0.5-1 inch either way (1-2.5 cm), so they say nothing directly about body measurements. The charts do not all measure the same points:
| Point measured | Listings whose chart includes it |
|---|---|
| Bust | 44 |
| Length | 43 |
| Sleeve | 36 |
| Shoulder | 12 |
| Waist | 4 |
| Hem width | 2 |
| Back length | 1 |
Measured across a top that already fits
The most reliable ruler is a long-sleeved top from the customer’s own wardrobe that fits the way a new one should. With it buttoned and spread out on a bed or table without pulling, the tape goes straight across the chest from one underarm seam to the other, and that figure doubled is the bust to compare with the chart; the length runs from the highest point of the shoulder down to the hem, and the sleeve from the shoulder seam to the cuff.
Worked through for one henley
Suppose the favorite top measures 19 inches across the chest, which doubles to 38 inches. The henley charts put a typical M at 37.8 inches, inside the maker’s tolerance, so M is the size to start from, and for JNT-HE-006, JNT-HE-009 or JNT-HE-012, which the maker marks as running small, L at a typical 39.8 inches is the safer pick.
Compared by style at the bust
The three styles are cut very differently, as the typical bust figures below show.
| Size | Henley tops (in) | Off the shoulder tops (in) | Plaid shirts (in) |
|---|---|---|---|
| S | 35.8 | 34.6 | 43.3 |
| M | 37.8 | 36.2 | 45.3 |
| L | 39.8 | 38.6 | 47.2 |
These are medians of the maker’s charts on October 13, 2026. The plaid shirts are cut as roomy overshirts, so a plaid M gives about 7.5 inches more room at the bust than a henley M, and when ordering, the chart on the listing itself is the one that counts.
Marked as running small on 9 listings
Nine listings carry the maker’s note that the style runs small and that one or two sizes up may fit better: JNT-HE-006, JNT-HE-009, JNT-HE-012, JNT-PL-002, JNT-PL-003, JNT-PL-004, JNT-PL-005, JNT-PL-012 and JNT-PL-013. JNT-HE-010 works the other way, since its maker suggests the smaller size for anyone between two bust sizes, and where a note and a chart disagree, the chart decides.
Rated for stretch by the maker
Every listing with a chart also shows the maker’s stretch rating: Slight on 22 tops, Medium on 9, None on 7, Low on 5 and High on 1. A top rated None or Low should measure at least as much as the customer’s own top at the bust, while a Medium or High rating leaves room for a chart figure slightly below it.
Cut in six fits and five lengths
The Fit line on each listing reads Relaxed on 9 tops, Fitted on 8, Oversized on 8, Loose on 7, Slim on 4 and Regular on 1, and 8 more listings combine two descriptions. For length, 25 tops fall to the hip, 9 stop at the waist, 5 are cropped, 5 are long and 1 is a tunic, and every one of the 45 has long sleeves.
Offered from S to 5XL
S appears on 44 designs (JNT-OS-009 starts at M), M and L on all 45, XL on 40 and 2XL on 24. Three henleys, JNT-HE-001, JNT-HE-011 and JNT-HE-014, go to 3XL, and JNT-HE-014 alone continues to 4XL and 5XL; the sizes offered are shown on each listing before checkout.
Judged against the chart when a top arrives
A top that measures within the maker’s tolerance is the right size by its own chart, even if it feels different from another brand’s top. A gap of more than 1.25 inches (3 cm) from the listing’s chart makes it not as described, which the company puts right at its own cost, whereas a size that simply does not suit is a change-of-mind return under the Refund and Returns Policy, with no restocking fee.
