Refund and Returns Policy

Effective date: October 13, 2026

A JennsThreads top is mailed from a partner’s warehouse in China, and that is exactly why the return steps below matter, since a top sent to the wrong address or without an authorization can be lost for weeks.

Requested within 30 days of delivery

Customers have 30 calendar days to ask for a return, starting on the day the carrier’s tracking marks the top delivered, and only the request itself has to fall inside that window. A top delivered on Tuesday, December 8, 2026, for example, can still be returned if the request reaches the customer care team by Thursday, January 7, 2027, even though the package goes into the mail a few days later.

Started by email with the order ID

Every return begins with an email to contact@jennsthreads.com, or with the form on the Contact Us page, listing the order ID and each top to be returned. Where a top arrived damaged, faulty or wrong, two pictures help: one of the flaw and one of the label inside the top, because with those the customer care team can settle the case without asking twice.

Emailed only with the return authorization

The return address is never published on this site; it is emailed to each customer whose return qualifies, inside a message called the return authorization, no later than 1 business day after the request is complete. A top mailed to any other address cannot be processed.

Mailed within 10 days of the authorization

The top should be mailed within 10 days of the return authorization, with a slip inside the package that shows the order ID. A tracked postage service is strongly recommended, because a return that goes missing on the way cannot be refunded until the carrier finds it.

Covered by the customer or by JennsThreads, depending on the cause

When the customer changes their mind or picks the wrong size, the customer pays the return postage and chooses the service, and the original $5.90 shipping charge is not refunded. The customer learns the address before buying any postage, so the cost can be compared before deciding.

When the problem was caused by JennsThreads, which covers a top that arrived damaged, faulty or wrong or one that does not match its listing, the customer pays nothing. In those cases the top usually stays with the customer, and if it must travel, the authorization email includes a prepaid label.

Allowed for every henley, off the shoulder top and plaid shirt

Henley tops, off the shoulder tops and plaid shirts all follow the same rules, whether they were bought at full price or with a discount code. A customer may also return part of an order and keep the rest, which matters for orders of two or three tops.

Accepted without a reason

No reason has to be given for a return. A top that turns out too loose, a color that looks different in daylight and a size that was simply wrong are all treated as a change of mind, with the costs described above.

Tried on at home and still returnable

Trying a top on at home is expected and does not affect the return. What comes back has to be unworn, unwashed and free of marks, with the original tags still attached, although any sturdy mailer can replace the original bag, because the inspection looks at the top and not at the wrapping.

Ruled out by wear, washing or alterations

A change-of-mind return is refused when the top shows wear, washing, alterations, stains, makeup, deodorant, perfume, smoke or pet hair. Such a top is mailed back to the customer at the company’s expense and without a refund, while a flaw that was already there on arrival is handled under the faulty-top rules further down this page.

Discounted and returnable on the same terms

No top in the catalog is sold as final sale, so a discounted top can be returned on the same terms as any other. Should a final-sale item ever be added, it will be marked that way on its own product page, before checkout.

Charged $0.00 for restocking

No return carries a restocking fee; it stays at $0.00. The refund equals the price paid for the returned tops, and it also includes the shipping charge whenever the problem was caused by JennsThreads.

Refunded within 7 business days of inspection

Once the top reaches the return address and passes inspection, JennsThreads has 7 business days to issue the refund to the original payment method, and an email confirms the date. Card issuers and PayPal post the credit on their own schedule, sometimes 10 business days later, which is why that email gives the exact date the refund left JennsThreads.

Take the sample order of the Waffle Knit Henley Tunic Top in Apricot ($35.99) and the Oversized Plaid Button Down Shirt in Blue ($28.99), which paid $5.90 for shipping. If the plaid shirt goes back for a change of mind, the refund is $28.99 and the $5.90 stays with JennsThreads. On a free-shipping order, returning one top adds no shipping charge to the refund.

Swapped for another size through a new order

JennsThreads does not swap one size for another. The fastest route is a new order for the size that fits, followed by a normal return of the first top, because the replacement then starts its 13-16 business days at once instead of waiting for the return to arrive.

Found faulty within 10 days of delivery

A torn seam, a missing button, a hole or a flaw in the fabric counts as a fault, and it should be reported within 10 days of delivery together with the two pictures described above. The customer care team decides within 3 business days, after which the customer picks a replacement top or the money back in full, the $5.90 shipping charge included.

Sent in the wrong style, color or size

A style, color or size that differs from the order confirmation is an error on the seller’s side. It should be reported within 10 days of delivery, adding a photo that shows the top and its tag, and the correct top is then sent at no charge, or the full amount is refunded if the customer prefers.

Mismatched with its listing

A top counts as not as described when a measurement differs from the listing’s chart by more than 1.25 inches (3 cm), when the fabric is not the one listed or when the color is far from the photos. Photos showing the difference can arrive any time within 30 days of delivery; the company then covers the cost of mailing the top back and adds the $5.90 to the refund. JNT-PL-014, the only listing without a chart, is judged on its written details.

Lost for good after a carrier trace

A package is treated as lost when the carrier says so, or when a trace has found nothing after 10 more business days, and the customer then picks a replacement or the money back in full. The Shipping Policy explains how the trace is started.

Turned away at the door or sent back by the carrier

When a customer refuses a package at the door, or a failed delivery sends it back to the sender, the tops are refunded once tracking shows the package has arrived there. The $5.90 shipping charge is refunded only when the carrier caused the failure.

Received without an authorization

Packages that turn up with no authorization are traced to an order through the sender’s name, a slow process that can push the refund past 7 business days.

Canceled within 12 hours of checkout

Cancellation is open for 12 hours after checkout: one email or one call with the order ID stops the order, and the money is back within 3 business days. After 12 hours the partner may already be packing the top, so the order has to be handled as a return once it is delivered.
