Shipping Policy
Effective date: October 13, 2026
Every JennsThreads top starts its trip in a partner’s warehouse in China, so the dates and charges on this page decide when a customer actually holds the top and what the order costs on the way there.
Addressed to the 48 contiguous states or DC
Packages go to the 48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia, at street addresses only, and to no other place. Apartment, suite and unit numbers belong on the second address line, because the final carrier hands each package over at a door and needs the complete street address to find that door.
Blocked at checkout for Alaska, Hawaii, PO boxes and military mail
JennsThreads cannot accept orders for Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam or any other US territory, and it cannot ship to PO boxes, to APO, FPO and DPO military mail or to any country other than the United States. None of these destinations is offered a shipping rate at checkout, so an order for one of them normally cannot be completed. When a PO box order gets through anyway, the customer care team cancels it and returns the full payment within 3 business days, since the carrier on this route has no way to leave a package at a PO box.
Sent from China with import duties prepaid
A third-party fulfillment partner in China holds the stock, packs each top that is ordered and sends the package straight to the customer. Import duties are prepaid by the sender, which means the customer owes $0.00 to the carrier at delivery. No customs form has to be signed by the customer, because that paperwork is finished before the flight lands.
Listed as shipping from China on every product page
Every product page names China as the country the top ships from. Stating the origin before checkout lets a customer judge the waiting time before paying for anything.
Paid before the 4:30 PM Eastern Time deadline
Each business day has an order deadline of 4:30 PM Eastern Time, and an order paid by that time counts from the same day. An order paid later, or on a Saturday, a Sunday or a US federal holiday, counts from the next business day, which this page calls the order day. Business days run Monday through Friday, except US federal holidays, and every count of days on this page uses that calendar.
Packed within 1-2 business days
After the order day, the partner takes 1-2 business days to pull the top from its shelves, wrap it and pass the package to the carrier. The dispatch email, with the tracking code, goes out at the moment the carrier scans the package, so a customer knows exactly when this stage has ended.
Flown, cleared and driven in 12-14 business days
The carrier then needs 12-14 business days. Within that span the package is flown to the United States, cleared through customs and driven to the street address on the order, and every scan is added to the tracking code as it happens.
Delivered 13-16 business days after the order day
Added together, the two stages come to 13-16 business days, counted from the order day. That figure is repeated without change on product pages, in the FAQs and in the footer, so a customer never meets two different estimates.
Ordered the week before Thanksgiving
Take an order paid at 3:15 PM Eastern Time on Wednesday, November 18, 2026. Its order day is November 18, the package is dispatched on Thursday, November 19 or Friday, November 20, and it reaches the door between Tuesday, December 8 and Friday, December 11, with Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 26, left out of the count. An order paid at 5:10 PM Eastern Time on Friday, November 13 would count from Monday, November 16, because it missed that day’s deadline.
Charged $5.90 below $89.00
Orders under $89.00 pay a flat $5.90 for delivery, once per order, however many tops are in the package. Checkout lists the charge as Standard shipping before the customer pays.
Shipped free from $89.00
From $89.00, delivery costs nothing and checkout shows Free shipping. Only the prices of the tops count toward $89.00, discount codes come off first and sales tax is left out, so a code that brings the tops under $89.00 adds the $5.90 back. No single top reaches $89.00, since the highest price in the catalog is $53.99.
| Sample order (prices on October 13, 2026) | Tops | Shipping | Checkout total before tax |

| Waffle Knit Henley Tunic Top in Apricot (JNT-HE-001) | $35.99 | $5.90 | $41.89 |
| The henley plus the Oversized Plaid Button Down Shirt in Blue (JNT-PL-001) | $64.98 | $5.90 | $70.88 |

Billed with no handling or packaging fee
Checkout adds no handling fee, no packaging fee, no fuel surcharge and no insurance option to an order, so the $5.90 is the whole delivery charge. A lost or damaged package is covered by the steps further down this page, which is why separate insurance is never offered.
Taxed according to the delivery address
Sales tax is not part of the listed price. When an order is taxed, the amount is based on the delivery address and appears as a separate entry in the order summary before payment, while import duties never appear at all, because the sender has already paid them.
Booked by the partner and handed to a US carrier
The partner books the carrier for every package, and a US carrier makes the final delivery, which the dispatch email names. There is no option to pick the carrier or to buy a faster service, because every order travels the same way.
Scanned by the carrier within 3 business days
The tracking code arrives in the dispatch email, yet the carrier’s website may not post the first scan for up to 3 business days. During that gap the Order Tracking page shows the status that JennsThreads holds for the order.
Split into two or more packages
An order of several tops may be split into two or more packages, each carrying its own tracking code, and they can arrive on different days. Splitting an order costs the customer nothing, and each package keeps the 13-16 business day estimate.
Corrected within 12 hours of checkout
An address can be corrected within 12 hours of placing the order by emailing the order ID together with the corrected street address. After 12 hours the partner has usually printed the label, so the package travels to the address on the order.
Sold out between payment and packing
The partner owns the stock, so a size occasionally sells out in the hours between payment and packing. When that happens, the customer care team writes within 1 business day and the customer chooses between waiting for a new dispatch date, switching to another top or size, and a full refund for that top.
Delayed past the second business day
When the partner has not dispatched a package by the end of the second business day after the order day, the customer care team emails a new date before that day is over. The customer may accept the new date or cancel, and the full payment is returned within 3 business days after a cancellation. The FTC Mail Order Rule also limits the wait, so an order is not held beyond 30 days unless the customer agrees.
Logged as delivered but not yet found
A delivered scan is occasionally logged while the van is still a few stops away. The customer should wait 2 business days and check the mailroom, porches, side doors and neighbors, and then report the missing package within 14 days of the delivered scan, quoting the order ID, so the customer care team can open a claim with the carrier.
Damaged in transit or stalled without new scans
Damage should be reported within 10 days of delivery, with photos of the top, the outer packaging and the shipping label, and the damaged top normally stays with the customer, since mailing it back would only add weeks. When 7 business days pass without a new scan, the customer care team asks the carrier for a trace. A trace that is still empty 10 business days later closes the search, and the customer then decides whether a second top should be sent or the money returned in full.
Decided within 3 business days
The customer care team decides each complete claim within 3 business days. A replacement top goes through the same 1-2 business days of packing before it is dispatched, and a refund is issued to the original payment method.
Slowed by storms, peak season or customs checks
Winter storms, holiday volumes at the carriers and random customs checks are the usual reasons a package runs past 13-16 business days. The warehouse in China also closes for the country’s public holidays, with the longest break around the Lunar New Year, and orders placed during a closure are packed when it reopens.
Returned through an emailed return authorization
Sending a top back has its own rules, starting with a 30-day window counted from delivery, and no restocking fee is charged; the full steps sit on a separate page.
